Land of Quiver.. 5 Secrets you must know before visiting Egypt

The most beautiful country in the world is Egypt, and this is a testimony from everyone since my testimony is biased because of my Egyptian identity.

Now let's assume that you haven't visited Egypt before, and you want to know more information about it just like the most important tourist attractions and the tradition of its people, but you didn't find anyone to tell you about Egypt, that's why I decided to give you all the information about Egypt.

Simply, you can imagine yourself sitting with a tour guide who will tell you everything about the land of civilizations and pharaohs.

1- Tourist Attractions

If you want to visit Egypt one day; You've to wander the streets of Cairo first, and the first of them must be Al-Moez Street, Al-Azhar Mosque, Al-Hussein District, and Khan Al-Khalili, and don't forget to go to the restaurants that Egyptians go to it; because you'll know a lot about the Egyptians, and you'll love them to the point of delaying your travel date, and perhaps you'll want to convert your visit to Egypt for a permanent residence.

 2- Ancient Civilizations

The most important tip I'll tell you today is: "select only two governorates to visit each time you visit Egypt".

Because each governorate in Egypt has its own character and archaeological landmarks; For example, Cairo, Cairo doesn't only embrace Islamic civilization, but there're also other places that you must look at before leaving Cairo, namely the Cairo Tower, the Nile Corniche, the Citadel, and the Egyptian Museum...etc; Precisely, for this reason, each governorate should've its own entertainment program so that you don't miss visiting the most beautiful places in Cairo or other governorates.

3- The People of Egypt

Many believe that the Egyptians are a people that no one can confront since they are the descendants of the Pharaohs, but the truth is that the Egyptians are a very peaceful people, and don't harm anyone - as long as you do not offend them - but if you offend them, then you'll really see the true meaning of the word Pharaoh.

The most important thing you should know about Egyptians is family relations as the Egyptians sanctify the family, respect the head of the family, and sympathize with the children; Therefore, you'll find most Egyptians in the pranks program and the hidden camera lose their nerve when it comes to honoring parents, I remember one of the pranks on TV in which the heroes of the prank were giving a paper to passers-by in the street and telling them to read that paper to the old woman, and in the paper a message saying “I'll send you to the elderly home”.

After reading the message everyone hostile reaction toward the son, who wanted to send his mother to the elderly home, to the extent that one of them hit him because he didn't treat his mother well.

As for the women, they looked at him with contempt, and said to the old woman, "Come with us to our home and don't care about him anymore".

In Egypt, women are rarely beaten by their fathers or husbands, and regarding the treatment of children by fathers you've to know that there's no father or mother in the world who loves their children more than the love of Egyptian fathers and mothers for their children, and perhaps that love is the main reason for the corruption of some children in our Egyptian society.

 4- Life in Egypt

If you want to live in Egypt, try as much as possible to adapt to the Egyptian atmosphere... I mean, don't leave your house at seven in the morning if your work time is at eight; because you'll get stuck in traffic, my dear, and don't go to anyone before breaking the fast (in Ramadan) an hour before the sunset prayer; because you'll knock his door at the time of Suhoor (the time of eating last meal before fasting a new day), but if you really want to see a scene that will remain in your memory forever; don't forget to go to Al-Eid prayer every year to see the manifestations of the celebration of Al-Eid, and if you can rent a helicopter to watch Al-Eid prayer in the sky of Cairo, don't hesitate and do that, cause you'll see how the celebrations really are.

 5- Egyptian Traditions

Among the most important traditions of the Egyptians are religious customs, and among the most important religious seasons in Egypt are the month of fasting (the month of Ramadan), the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah month, the days of Eid al-Adha, and the feast that follows the month of Ramadan, the New Year's Day and the Islamic New Year, and the celebrations of the birth of Christ. Isa bin Maryam, may God be pleased with them both, the birth of the honorable Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the night of the middle of Sha’ban..etc.

Note that each feast and each of the previous seasons contains its own customs; For example, Ramadan, Ramadan celebrating occurs with fun spiritualities, I mean that every place, every street, and neighborhood in Egypt must be decorated with Ramadan lanterns and the decorations consist of colorful luminous lamps and ribbons printed on it Ramadan cartoon characters, which was shown on TV every year during Ramadan, such as the character of Bakar and the characters of Boji & Tamtam, and uncle Shak Shak..etc.

Talking about Egypt and the Egyptians needs more than one article; So wait for my new articles about the land of Quiver and its people.
